Description
|
This introductory course aims to build a good understanding about the basics of automatic process control. It covers introduction of sensors / transducers and SMART instrumentation used for measurement of process parameters, the control loop components and focuses on providing inputs related to process control. The course aims to build a good understanding about the basics of industrial automation using PLC, HMI and SCADA and it focuses on providing the practical aspects of PLC commissioning and troubleshooting. A special emphasis on real life implementations, case studies and international standards would ensure participants to co-relate the theory with their day to day practice. A brief introduction to hierarchical structure of control systems and PLC communications enables the participants to appreciate the control pyramid and interfaces to office automation systems.
