Power Electronics
Understanding Power Electronics is a basic need for all the engineers working on many power electronics products such as drives, motors, controllers, power supplies etc. This is an introductory course, which aims to build a good understanding about the basics of power electronics and it focuses on providing the practical aspects of its application for various power devices mentioned above. The course covers necessary background preparation in the integrated circuits. It then concentrates on building fundamental knowledge about power devices and components. It later on covers many industrial applications of these devices. A special emphasis on real life implementations, case studies and international standards would ensure participants to co-relate the theory with their day to day practice.
