Profile:

Mr. Lele started his professional career as a Planning Engineer for Traction Substations Projects of Indian Railways. He joined with Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Navi Mumbai which is the first high tech port in India. The project was partly in operation and many of the systems were at commissioning stage. He initially worked on Generator power supply project for refrigerating container yard. He contributed to streamline procedures for operation and maintenance of 220kV switchyard and other substations.

He joined M/s TELCO – Tata Engg and Locomotive Co. Ltd. Pune, (now called as Tata Motors Ltd – TML) in 1993 in the Plant Engineering Division. Initially, he was involved in operation and maintenance of new EHV substation. He worked on power factor improvement project to achieve overall unity power factor inclusive of pilot project of Real Time Power Factor Correction Panels (RTPFC) for very dynamic, unbalanced load of Weld Shop. He worked on execution, testing and commissioning of EHV, HV, LV Electrical Systems installations and utilities at Car Plant, Pune. He was a member of the execution team for development of a new plant (right from temporary supply connection) at Pantnagar. He contributed in new plants development at Singur and Dharwad.

He worked on Energy Conservation projects and registration of Green Energy Projects for CER and REC. He contributed in development, implementation and certification of ISO:50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) at various plants of TML. He is an ICRA certified Lead Auditor for ISO:50001. He also carried out energy audits and conducted trainings on Energy Conservation for SME TML vendors in Pune area.

He was also a team member for selection of diploma trainee engineers and engineers for TML. He conducted pre placement talks, group discussions and interviews for Singur and Dharwad plants.

His passion for teaching / training goes way back with his association with academic institutions. He has been a visiting faculty at National Institute of Construction Management and Research, Pune (NICMAR).
