Description:

Water pumping stations are very important in any process industry. Pumping stations provide water at the required flow and pressure for process, they also pump out the used up water form process. Electrical motors and Variable frequency drives (VFD) are the “work horse” of pumping stations.
There is a growing demand for professionals knowledgeable in electrical motors and variable frequency drives (VFD) for planning, design, implementation, installation commissioning and maintenance of water pumping stations.
This is a five day introductory course. The course starts with review of basics of electrical engineering, and covers working principles of AC motors, methods of speed control, protection and safety. It also covers methods of selection, inspection maintenance and trouble shooting of VFD. The course also covers basic operation of pumps, series ,parallel connection of pumps , instrumentation and automation requirements of pumping station.
The course has balance of theoretical and practical aspects of motors , VFD and pumps.
