Mr. Shantaram Mayadeo has had a long professional career of over 39 years with several multinational companies in India at senior levels. He work has revolved around inspection and testing of process equipments, piping, material testing, corrosion engineering, failure analysis, corrosion, reliability studies, and failure investigation. He has worked as a senior NDT inspector, carrying out inspections in general engineering, oil-field, petro-chemicals, and power generation industries in methods such as VT, MPI, UT, LPT, and RT. His work has involved inspections, calibration of equipment, carrying out failure analysis, and preparation/approval of testing procedures with reference to codes and standards.

He now regularly conducts training courses, both in India and abroad, in the field of Pressure vessel codes, piping codes API Certification courses, Risk Based Inspection, Corrosion Engineering, failure analysis, and Metallurgy related courses. He is also a faculty member with Institute of Testing Technology, Mumbai.

Mr. Shantaram Mayadeo is also an API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector and has a Level III Certification of American Society of Non-Destructive Testing in Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Visual Testing, Radiographic Testing, and Penetrant Testing.
